Description

‘This sculpture is a section of helical gearing found at a long disused slate mine in Cumbria. I did have a good look for the rest of the gear wheel but to no avail!
The polished sections contrast with the deeply damaged surface that have been exposed to the elements for many years.
The sculpture is mounted on a piece of slate that would have been mined in the same quarry.’
