Holly graduated from the Birmingham School of Jewellery in 2016 and started her first jewellery brand.

In 2018 when Holly moved into a bigger workshop in Sheffiled, she was able to realize her latest concept to craete a contour map collection.

Holly designs the maps studying the contours of the location and translating it into a design that can be created in brass. The designs are laser cut from a single piece of brass at a specialist UK metal works who are highly skilled at intricate metal art and crafting.

Holly hand finishes the piece ( either polishing the brass in its naturaal gold finish or heating it so it is blackened and then slightly rub back to reveal a warm golden glow). The blackened finish is achieved by using an ‘antiquing’ solution on the metal then rubbing back to give different effects. With both finishes the metal is sealed using jade oil – a sealant which prevents tarnishing.

The other major step in the process is soldering on all the wire supports onto the back of the maps, so that when mounted with tube spacers the maps appear to float off the backboard.
