Carol Hamilton
Carol Hamilton is originally from rural mid-west America, relocating to the UK in 1984. He now lives in Cheshire and took up stone carving as a hobby after retiring from owning and managing several picture framing/fine art galleries. He was tutored by a professional carver from Derbyshire. Since around 2012 he has been experimenting with subjects and styles as well as different types of stone. Animals and hands have been the most interesting to him, together with more contemporary figures. Carol tends to carve what interests him and what presents a challenge over what he has done previously. He primarily uses stone from a quarry in Lincolnshire.
