Chris and Michaela Goan work together from their studio in Argyll, creating ceramic artworks using their own poetry.  The poem on this raku vase reads:

‘what do we mean when we say earth? are we not formed from the same dirt? is the soil beneath our feet not alive? does it not squirm and churn / with sinew and stone / just like we do? what do we mean when we say earth? this ball of half-cooled molten rock / still sweating from creation condensation / careening through unknown space / perhaps still searching for home / like we do…’
